My commitment

I want everyone to be able to read and use this website, whatever device they use and however they browse. The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as its target standard.

What has been done

• Pages use clear, structured headings and plain, readable text.
• The site can be used with a keyboard alone, and interactive items show a visible focus outline.
• Images that carry meaning have descriptive text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Text and background colours are chosen for sufficient contrast, and the layout adapts to small screens and larger text sizes.
• The site respects your system setting for reduced motion.

Known limitations

Some articles are shown as scans or PDFs of the original magazine pages. These reproduce the printed work faithfully but may not be fully readable by a screen reader. The original articles are also available on the publishers' own websites, which are linked wherever possible.

Some video and podcast players are provided by third parties, such as YouTube and Spotify, whose own accessibility I do not control.

Reporting a problem

If you find any part of this site difficult to use, or you need information here in a different format, please tell me through the contact form and I will do my best to help. I aim to respond within five working days.

Enforcement

If you contact me about an accessibility problem and are not happy with my response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on rights under the Equality Act 2010.
